Rudiment #26
Flam Paradiddlediddle
The Flam Paradiddlediddle (#26 of the 40 P.A.S. certified essential or standard rudiments) is based on the Paradiddle-diddle sticking. A grace note is added to the accents. Plural, because this time the pattern is played hand-to-hand meaning it alternates between starting on the Right Hand and the Left Hand.
Notice the absence of the hyphen between 'Paradiddlediddle' when 'Flam' is in front of it. I don't know where this inconsistency comes from or where the advantage would be.
Sticking
lR l r r l l rL r l l r r
Notice the Triple Stroke sticking with an accent on the third note (l l rL or r r lR) because of the change of starting hands.
