Rudiment #5

Triple Stroke Roll

The Triple Stroke Roll (#5 of the 40 P.A.S. certified essential or standard rudiments) is a six evenly spaced notes long rudiment which consists of three notes in a row per hand. Traditionally the Triple Stroke Roll is notated and felt as two 16th note triplets or one sextuplet. The Triple Stroke Roll is an excellent rudiment to learn how to maximize our rebound.
